Summer Mini-Camp 2011, ended with a celebration service by the children and dinner on Friday
evening, July 22. Campers experienced some way cool music, a trip to the beach, weekly cooking
and water slide play as well as science experiments, crafts and more crafts, recreation, and other fun
activities. Summer Mini-Camp touched the lives of 26 children and youth. More than 20 adults from
Highlands and Garden City United Methodist Churches provided on-site leadership and support. On
Saturday, August 13, the church gave school supplies to the children who participated in the camp. Look
for information about next year's camp in the Spring, 2012.
